Responsibilities
General Job Description:

Establish and maintain networks with international and local NGOs, municipalities, embassies, and other funding organizations in Lebanon & Syria.
Coordinate with governmental entities in Lebanon & Syria.
Develop and manage a database of donor organizations, including international foundations, bilateral and multilateral agencies, and private corporations.
Submit weekly reports on activities and progress.
Provide a detailed work plan outlining processes, objectives, and outcomes.
Develop and implement fundraising strategies.
Monitor donor websites for funding opportunities and inform the team.
Organize and assist in fundraising events.
Facilitate concept proposals and RFQs, ensuring effective communication between SHEILD and donors or partners.

The Fundraising and Resource Research Officer is a key role within SHEILD, responsible for expanding the fundraising portfolio with public and private sector donors for development and humanitarian aid.

Primary Responsibilities:

Work closely with the Head of Consultants and Chairman of the Board to align funding sources with SHEILD’s priorities.
Support the Program Manager team in proposal and report writing to ensure alignment with donor strategies.
Attend fundraising meetings with international, regional, and local donors.
Represent and promote SHEILD to UN agencies, international organizations, donors, INGOs, development agencies, local partners, and specialized networks, in coordination with the Head of Consultants and Chairman of the Board.
Assist in developing logical frameworks and results-based project outcomes tailored to donor requirements.

General Duties:

Travel as needed for various site visits across Lebanon and Syria.
Undertake additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications
Qualifications:

Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in law, international relations, social sciences, communications, or a related field. Equivalent experience may substitute for a Master’s degree.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in fundraising and resource mobilization.
Familiarity with the Lebanese working environment and active donors.
Knowledge of the socio-political and economic landscape in Lebanon.
Experience in advocacy and strategic communication.
Proficiency in English and Arabic is required; knowledge of French is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Diplomatic, professional, and enthusiastic demeanour.
Adherence to high ethical standards in line with humanitarian principles and anti-corruption policies.
Strong analytical and reporting skills.
