Role Overview:
The Data Collection and Documentation Specialist will be responsible for gathering data related to cultural heritage, conducting interviews, and documenting heritage objects. This role combines expertise in research, photography, and digital archiving to ensure the comprehensive collection and organization of data for research purposes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Collection: Conduct research, including gathering sources and collecting field data on cultural heritage objects, tools, and processes.
2. Interviews: Engage with historians, cultural practitioners, and heritage experts to collect first-hand information and oral histories. Record and document interviews.
3. Documentation: Produce detailed written documentation of cultural heritage practices, including descriptions of items, materials, and techniques.
4. Photography: Capture high-quality images of cultural heritage items, workshops, tools, and relevant artifacts for inclusion in the project’s digital archive.
5. Digital Archiving: Manage the digital archive, ensuring proper organization, categorization, and storage of photos, documents, and interview recordings.
6. Collaboration: Work closely with the Research Team and Graphic Design Team to provide relevant materials and assist with visual presentations.
7. Data Management: Ensure all collected data is properly stored, accessible, and backed up.

● Bachelor’s degree in archaeology, history, sociology, or a related field, ( Master preferred).
● Strong research skills, particularly in data collection and analysis within cultural heritage contexts.
● Experience conducting interviews, particularly in the cultural or historical sectors.
● Photography skills, with an ability to capture detailed, high-quality images.
● Experience in digital archiving, including organizing and managing digital collections.
● Proficiency in using data management systems and archiving software.
● Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
● Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
● Strong research skills, particularly in data collection and analysis within cultural heritage contexts.
