Responsibilities
Generic Duties:
- Provide technical guidance and support to protection staff, ensuring quality in the implementation of activities and services as well as the adherence to protection standards.
- Coordinate and supervise case management (CM) activities including the provision of In-Kind Assistance that are conducted in INTERSOS static centers and/or as part of mobile community outreach activities.
- Regularly verify the status of the case management database/platform and in-kind assistance requests; conduct case reviews and provide feedback to CM staff.
- Ensure the proper filing and archiving of case management files to maintain data protection and confidentiality standard.
- Conduct regular case audits, to ensure that cases meet and maintain compliance with established SoPs and minimum standards in case management.
- Organize regular and ad hoc case management meetings with CM team to discuss complex cases and general challenges in their tasks.
- Review regularly staff caseloads to ensure they are manageable and in line with minimum standards of not more than 25 open cases at a time.
- Participate in the recruitment of project staff, provide objective feedback with regards to staff performance (evaluate performance and deliverables against job descriptions), expectations and areas for growth and professional development.
- Identify capacity building needs of protection staff assessing their knowledge and skills and accordingly provide learning opportunities through trainings, workshops and/or simulation exercises;
- Plan and facilitate the induction process for all newly recruited case managers and workers on protection principles, the case management process, the relevant SOPs and the data filing and storing procedures (and other relevant topics).
- Contribute to weekly, monthly and donor reports, providing relevant insight on protection activities progress and protection related issues.
- In coordination with the Protection Activity Manager, assess Protection, GBV, CP needs and gaps of target populations in current and prospective areas of operations, periodically update the protection situation analysis and inform the programme accordingly.
- Support the Protection Activity Manager in developing and/or updating protection tools and training material in order to meet projects requirement.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relations with relevant partners and other project stakeholders working in the project areas; Contribute to regular service mapping exercises and updates.
- Proactively participate in relevant coordination meetings, as requested by the supervisor.


Qualifications
- University Degree in Social Sciences or related field.
- Minimum 2 years relevant professional experience in the
protection sector (of which at least 1 year in a supervisory
role).
