Responsibilities
The assistant is responsible for engaging with women, men, boys, and girls through outreach activities, including information dissemination, risk identification, and mitigation, and supporting the creation and follow-up of community groups.

- Adopt to the program designed monitoring and evaluation tools for community awareness raising sessions in GBV, hygiene promotion, nutrition and health, in coordination with the GBV officers.
- Implement risk mitigation and awareness activities as determined by project objectives.
- Monitor and evaluate the outcomes of the community awareness raising sessions.
- Assist in identifying members of the community that are facing protection-related issues.
- Assist and lead, where appropriate, GBV/CP/MHPSS trainings for service providers, community members, and other relevant actors.
- Coordinate with other relevant resources to ensure the delivery of further community awareness sessions on health and hygiene topics.
- Mobilize potential women to set-up Women Support Group with provision of age-, diversity and culture appropriate.
- Collaborate in the follow-up of the actions and referrals of the deliberations of the meetings and other activities, in coordination with the team.
- Document all meeting sessions showing participant number and session evaluation report achievement, difficulties, and way forward.
- Facilitate a women support group meeting emphasize on participatory approaching and women driven to design how they are able to support the women in community and linked the GBV survivors to access the service provider.
- Strengthen and maintain networks through other service providers and camp management to ensure that survivors receive compassionate support from the community and to encourage greater communication, collaboration and coordination among partners (protection, health, legal, and psychosocial sectors).
- Advice the outreach officer on programming areas that require targeted interventions and campaigns based on trend analysis.
- Conduct surveys and assessments of the beneficiaries to establish baseline data of the community
- Work in collaboration with outreach officer to ensure ongoing needs of women and girls are being met through prevention-related activities.
- Collaborate on the improvement and updating of referral pathways for each of the projects, initiatives, activities in the area
- Organize and participate in case conferences and other interagency coordination meetings at the camp level.
- Perform any other related Assignment as per the Direct Supervisor Request.


Qualifications
- University degree in counseling or sociology or psychology.
- At least 1 year of experience in the same area.
- Previous experience in working with psychosocial and/or other social programs with international or local NGOs.
- Good English (writing and spoken).
- Very Good Computer Skills (MS Word, Excel, web browsers).


Specific Vacancy Requirements
- Clear understanding, including demonstrated positive attitudes on gender inequality, and issues surrounding violence against women and girls STRONGLY preferred.
- Good Communication And Negotiation Skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
