Responsibilities
Job Summary: Diagnoses and treats mental health disorders, conducts ongoing assessments of patient progress. Creates individualized treatment plans according to patient needs and circumstances.

- Carry out evaluation of psychological and mental health needs of patients, elaborate a diagnosis and establish a plan of treatment
- Diagnose any psychological or psychiatric disorder and if necessary, refer the patient to the medical team in order to receive drug treatment.
- Inform the patient and his/her relatives about the possible consequences of the illness and drug treatment to follow in order to improve the patient's condition.
- Reporting on evolving needs in the community, gaps in service access, and trends among targeted populations relevant to program implementation
- Provide psychological support and psychotherapy sessions (individual, family, group) to patients according to IMC protocols to improve their mental health conditions
- Refer patients to other health professionals whenever necessary in order to provide the most appropriate treatment
- Assist and train staff members and resourceful people whenever necessary in order to enhance the scope of MH activities
- Collect statistical and monitoring data about mental health activities
- Inform the supervisor and the medical team about any issues or problems that may arise related to patients’ treatment in order to provide the best possible solution from a medical perspective.
- Ensure that all patient information is kept confidential.
- Perform any other required tasks and duties required from the Direct Supervisor.


Qualifications
- Master degree in mental health field of study.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years working as a Psychotherapist.
- Basic understanding of the root causes of violence against women and girls.
- Experience working in emergency response in (NGO /INGO) is preferable.
- Experience in MHPSS Programming in emergency situations preferable.
- Knowledge of MHPSS and community outreach preferable.

Specific Vacancy Requirements
- Good literacy, numeracy, and record keeping skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
