Responsibilities
- Work alongside the Advocacy and Communications Manger to help gather content from the different operational areas.
- Need to be fluent in Arabic and English and skilled in social media metrics and creating communications products.
- Go on field trips to gather content under the Manager’s supervision and guidance.
- Will help create a weekly social media calendar for Syria’s operations.
- Draft social media posts for Manager’s and HQ’s review and approval.
- Will draft the subtitles (in English) for the videos for Manager’s review.
- Will file pictures/footage and any other content gathered from field trips.
- Ensure visibility requirements (donors’ and IMC’s) are met at the field level.
- Will help with the distribution of content with HQ comms.
- Will help with paperwork and other administrative tasks.
- Take photos while on field missions if the photographer/filmmaker isn’t available. The photos will be of: staff working with patients and beneficiaries, staff while doing distributions of donations and other shots as requested by the line manager.
- Will help identify success stories in the field and coordinate with the field teams and beneficiaries to arrange for a day to document these stories (either on camera or as a written story).
- Will do other tasks as requested by the line manager.
Specific Vacancy Requirements
- Experience social media metrics.- Experience working with vulnerable communities.
- Experience working with International NGOs and/or international media outlets.
- Extensive knowledge about social media trends.
- Ability to work within a team.
